Sonja
Pictured here with less gray hair than she now posseses, Sonja grew up in the house that now contains Bambino Bungalow. She lived in the house pictured above with a father, mother, three annoying big brothers and various dogs and pet rodents. She attended Hickory Grove Elementary, Old Mission Jr. High and Shawnee Mission North before marrying Charles. She has one son, one daughter, 3 AFS daughters and 3 AFS sons.
Charles
Shown here playing with his grandson, Charles graduated from Turner Senior High and went on to work for in various areas of construction and residential maintenance.
These are da kidz of Charles and Sonja.
This photo is included because they occasionally make an appearance at Bambino Bungalow.
Currently a dog and cat reside here. They occasionally play with the children but also have their own areas to retreat to when they have decided they have had enough love and attention from over eager pre-schoolers. We feel having them around is important for a teaching tool concerning proper treatment of animals.
Training certificates are available for viewing at interview time, and upon request. Charles and Sonja both have taken their Pertussis inoculation in order to help safeguard children who have not completed their cycle of immunizations.
In October 2019 Bambino Bungalow was one of three homes to participate in a pilot program and receive the distinction of Child Care Prepared through the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment.

While there is nothing wrong with taking children off-premises for activities, Bambino Bungalow chooses to have activities come the home as an extra safety measure. Check out the Things We Do page to check out the things we do!
